Project Narrative: This Home Depot store on Chicago’s Southside now features 60,198 ft² of environmentally friendly green roof. The purpose of this green roof design is to help reduce pollution and cut the store’s energy and maintenance costs.

This 60,198 ft² GreenGrid^® green roof was completed in 10 days by Christy Webber landscapes. The 4,398 40”x 40”x 4” GreenGrid^® extensive modules were planted with three varieties of drought tolerant plants, they are Sedum spurium ‘Fuldaglut’, Sedum acre, and Sedum ‘Bailey’s Gold’.
