Project Narrative: The GreenGrid® Modular Green Roof System was selected as part of the environmentally focused building design for the new 167,000 ft2 Cancer Research Center at the Medical College of Georgia.

The green roof consists of 309 - 2’x4’x4” Extensive GreenGrid® modules and 3 - 2’x2’x4” Extensive GreenGrid® modules. The modules where pre-planted at a local nursery and delivered to the site for installation. The plants used for this project included four species of Sedum and one species of Delosperma.

Modules were hoisted to the roof by crane on pallets and installed by hand. The installation was completed in two days.
