GreenGrid® Roof
at EPA Headquarters Featured in Denver Post
A September article
in the Denver Post featured Colorado’s
first rooftop garden—the roof of the
EPA’s new regional headquarters at Wynkoop
and 16th streets. The green roof, which was
designed and installed by Weston
Solutions, Inc. and GreenGrid®,
is composed of drought-tolerant plants placed
inside modular pallets made of recycled plastic.
According to the article, the green roof is
just one of many green features on the EPA
building, which also include solar panels,
wind turbines, and a nine-story atrium to increase
natural lighting and reduce energy load.
